This project was undertaken over a very short construction period of 5 months necessitating working 20 hour shifts and 7 days a week. The centre was extended with the addition of new line shops , a new storage and receiving facility for the anchor tenant , Pick n Pay as well as new parking and associated site works. The most challenging aspect of this project involved the total refurbishment of Pick n Pay internally including new bakery , butchery , tiling and new ceilings. This happen whilst the shop functioned in its normal working hours and not one hour or trade day was lost during construction. The project was completed on time in December before the Christmas high season.
